Man, this site needs a redesign
It's just not pleasing to the eye...am I right, or am I right? C'mon be honest, I can handle it. Who knows when I'll get a chance to address a sprucing up (maybe in time for spring cleaning?).
Looks okay to me. I have always liked the front of the MSNTV2 which you have at the top. I do have one of those.
Posted by: B Koula at February 18, 2005 03:12 PMit actually looks better on MSNTV2 than it does on a PC!
I think what I'll do is clean up the headings a bit and organize the right column of stuff a bit....colorwise and layout wise, I think it's ok...just the headings and the right column irk me a little since it's hard to read and navigate
Posted by: tommy at February 20, 2005 11:41 AMI had the web tv reg then
the plus for several yrs.
The MSN2 is so slow that
half the time I have waited so long I just turn
it off. Is it going too be lke this forever.????
Sorry I don't have the Web
back...
MSNTV2 is improving. It is much faster than Webtv. But. It is not as good as the old Webtv in terms of Cut, Paste, and Copy. One was able to move in and out of sites with ease in the old Webtv.
Example: If I saw something I liked on a particular site and wanted to send it to someone, I was able to Cut, Paste, and then Copy on my e-mail. It cannot be done on MSNTV2.
Then there was the Info Button. It was woderful in getting the URL, and I was able to either save as a favorite. Or send to someone, with ease. This is no longer available to MSNTV2 users. I hope that someone out there that can prove me wrong in this matter.
Also. With the old Webtv, I was able to move back and forth from one site to another by clicking on the Back Button two or three times; With MSNTV2, I am not able to do so. Maybe the Recent Button was supposed to take care of this. It hasn't. At least not to my satisfaction.
Now. For the final blow for me. I have been using the Draft options to write my father's bio, as well as my own over the past several weeks. I had 17 of 18 drafts I was about to transfer to the PC I have just got up and running. Seventeen (17) of the drafts have just disappeared within the past hour or two while I was finalizing my registration with an ISP on my PC. Do any of you think I am irate? Once I have transferred what favorites I now have stored with MSNTV2, I am kissing them off.
Fact. I have been using Webtv since 1998. The reason I opted for Webtv over a PC is simple. I didn't know how to use a PC. I have never really had any problems with Webtv except for some stupid inputs on my part. But since opting for MSNTV2 in November, 2004, I have had nothing but problems. This is the reason that I bought a PC. At my age of 70 years young, and am learning how to use a PC for the first time, has got to tell you what I think of MSNTV2.
I found this site only because I was tryng to find a MSN Support Group via e-mail. I still haven't found it.

Posted by: Willard at February 24, 2005 02:16 PMHi Willard,
Thanks for your comments.
The analog to the "Info" button that was on WebTV is the "Menu" button. It shows you the URL and allows you to send and find a word on the page.
The copy and paste functionality is coming back in an upcoming release.
You can find a group of MSNTV2 folks who are quite active here: http://groups.msn.com/MSNTV2. It includes a few MSNTV2 customer service and engineering folks along with a slew of MSNTV2 users who help each other.
Posted by: Tommy at February 24, 2005 02:58 PMOne of the community link, as you are aware, is web-nuts. Very supportive and positive forum in regards to MSNTV. Glad spell check is back. Can't wait for th old cc&p. By using a mouse and some other things with out the mouse, we can still do alot more cc&p other than mail text. TNB is getting better all the time, regardless of what is said in some doom and gloom forums. I believe its faster than my classic in most cases. I have dialup at this time. Those who use BB and DSl say its really fast, especially BB users. Wish the web addy would get upgaded, but sometime. I'll be in the beta group and will be using web addy as that is my primary.
Take Care,
Mike

Posted by: betty stepp at March 3, 2005 09:04 AMFor Betty Stepp:
MSN TV 2 does not support MIDI files like MSN TV did. There has been some discussion about adding this, but I haven't heard concrete plans about this yet.
If you want to send a page just do this:
Hit the Menu key on the keyboard
Click Send
Click To:
and you'll see your addresses available.
