Windows Media Center Keyboard
Now here's a nice keyboard. Backlit keys! Woohoo! Does it work with MSNTV2? Maybe...if it's IR then we may have a chance. If it's bluetooth, kiss your MSNTV2-with-super-cool-keyboard dreams goodbye...
That's the problem with making KB's black or dark grey_even in good light you can't read the key's.
Posted by: BB at July 14, 2005 12:21 AMwhy would you even mention this. it says its only compatable with pc. how much would it cost if it did run msntv2. by the way the update was bilge.dialup users got practically zilch.still same problems it always had.play music surfing speed slows significuntly. as i told you i get video. so their telling me theirs is 2 quik for dialup is the bunk. when you go to hit media player on cbs video news the unit disconnects. why if i`m paying my 21.95 should msn care what i might pick up thru yankee ingenuity. unamerican that.that spelling check thing shouldv`e been incorporated as i probably made a few mispells here. your fix is kinda complicated & i doubt it will be worth it. a quik scan would be much faster than what is proposed.also urgently need same icons on right side of mail page @webtv.net as @hotmail.com has. 2 hr update & they didn`t even accomplish that. the meister take care tommy

mook53hd: My site is not just about MSNTV2, I post about all kinds of technology that deals with the TV. We have a couple of people trying to see if we can make the media center keyboard work with msntv2 since it has a built in mouse and can be operated from 30 feet away.
As for MSN Videos, I'm serious getting tired of explain this to dialup users. The MSN Videos ARE too quick for dialup because they are only provided at 300Kbps or higher speeds. Dialup maxes out at 53Kbps. There is no dialup version of MSN Videos. They could offer video at dialup speeds, but that would not be optimal since the video would be blocky. Most video content providers are moving to broadband only speeds or will be soon.
As for mail icons, @webtv.net users will get moved to the hotmail backend some time this fall or winter at which point you'll have feature parity with @msn.com users in email. This probably will not require a client software update and is simply a backend change our folks are working on.
